I love this page. It was on the Scrapbook Answers October Disc (text in a shape, digital journaling block, dingbat). It's so indicative of my mom. How did I get to be so uptight when my mom is so un-uptight? This summer, as we were setting the dinner table, and my exhausted brother had a toddler on his hip and did goofy stuff--hitting the pans hanging from the ceiling every time he passed under and pretending he'd been bonked and making all the kids laugh--I said to my mom, "You guys are reallly silly. How come I'm not?"
Her answer: "That's Ok. You've never been that way." And with a smirk, she said, "You're like your dad." :) This was very freeing for me----no more pressure to be fun. . . . I'm just who I am.
And she said that in my new picture in the header above, I look like her Mom around the eyes. Yep. That's right. I decided to look all of the 45 years I am!
