It's nice to have grown-up boys in the neighborhood who like to play with fireworks. David did an awesome job of selecting his fireworks this year (and I was happy to see Andy in protective eyewear -- pointed that out to my kids (and a couple of dads scoffed a little BUT several years ago I had to actually pull a shard of tile out of my husband's unprotected eye . . . so there you go . . .i've got my reasons)).
David started off with the hand-held stuff and moved on to a sit-down oooo and ahhh show. The kids were up at the circle way early running around and waiting for the show --- and when it did start, they came and got all of us parents who trailed up our driveways, some of us with a beer or glass of wine.
